Lost 4th Tooth
Connor gets in no hurry when it comes to pulling out his teeth. This one was just hanging by some tissue when it finally came out today. This is his fourth tooth to fall out. He has one that just started to get wiggly, so after the tooth fairy's visit tonight, it should be a couple months before she returns.

Maleah has bronchitis
The last two weeks, we've all been suffering from colds and coughs. No big deal, that's expected with the weather changes that we've been having. But yesterday, Maleah came home from Lori's with a fever so all the night time coughing must mean something. Maleah was seen by Semeyn Family Practice today since Dr. Ann is out of the office until Monday. She had a breathing treatment in the office and they said she has bronchitis. As a precaution, she had a chest Xray to rule out pneumonia. She's on an antibiotic for the next 10 days, let's hope it knocks this out soon. She had bronchitis last June, so I suspect this is something we'll have to deal with when she gets a cold.

Little League Try-Outs
Connor had Little League try-outs tonight at the Hickory Grove Elementary School from 5:30 - 7:00. We'll be in the Brookville Little League, rather than the Clarion Little League which makes me very happy (distance of travel). After the try-outs were finished, they said they would contact us as to which team Connor will be on and we now know that he will be on the Arby's team. Can't tell if this is good or bad. :) We will get our practice and game schedule soon. He's excited to start playing ball, I think he's going to really like Little League.

Maleah cuts her hair
Remember when Connor buzzed cut his hair? Well... Maleah experimented with the scissors today. While I was getting ready to go out to Clarion, I notice on my bathroom floor some long locks of hair. I gasped... After inspecting Maleah's hair, I see that she's taken a chunk out behind her right ear. Luckily and thankfully, it's not noticeable. When I asked her why she did this, she said she wanted to be like Jerri, our hair stylist... Why do kids do this?!?

Lori is getting married
For the past 6 1/2 years, Lori has been our babysitter. She started watching Connor for me when he was just 6 months old. Lori lost her husband to a massive heart attack (I believe in 2002) when he was just in his last 30's. Left behind was a mother and 3 adolescent boys. She has done an amazing job raising her boys on her own. Now that the boys are grown, she has once again found the love and happiness she deserves. She became engaged while vacationing in Arizona in early March. John asked her to marry him while they were visiting the Grand Canyon!! I'm so happy for her! She and John will start their marriage off in a new home, possibly Clarion. They have set a wedding date for Sept. 25, 2010.
So where does that leave her daycare business? She will watch Maleah and Connor until mid September then I have a new lady interested in starting up a daycare in her home who will put Connor on the bus for me. I can't say anymore about that, because she hasn't given notice to her employer and I don't want word to get back until she's given her notice. As for Maleah, I've decided to put her into Kids N Us Daycare for kindergarten readiness. Connor went there the year before school started and he loved it. I hope Maleah has the same experience.
I was quite nervous trying to figure out how I'd get Connor on the bus since I leave 1 hour before his bus arrives and the surrounding daycares do not bus CL school students since they are not in the same school district. But, I've figured it out and I have a plan. I can stop stressing now. Life is Good!

Look at this!!
When I got home this evening, my whole night seemed ruined from the notification that I'll be on call for Jury Duty in Pittsburgh starting April 19-30. This is just a huge inconvenience all the way around. But after opening Connor's backpack, my spirits were lifted when I saw his school work. He is doing fantastic in school and I am so proud of how well he is doing. I wanted to take the time and share his accomplishments.

Maleah gets her room painted
When Maleah was born, we didn't paint her bedroom to reflect that it was going to being a girls room, but today we are finally changing that! She is going to get her bedroom painted pink and yellow with a princess border in between the two colors. Yesterday she helped paint the yellow and today we tried on the pink to be sure it's the right color. We will post a picture when it's finally all finished.
