Waldameer

Happy Birthday Brian!! Thanks for agreeing to go to Waldameer for the day on your birthday. :-)

Connor was able to get Waldameer tickets from his elementary school at a reduced price, so we got the family tickets plus two extras for Grandma and Papa Hilton. We have been looking forward to this day and was pleasantly surprised that the weather was perfect for an amusement park day. Unfortunately, I didn't take my camera along with me, so I wasn't able to capture the awesome time the kids had riding the different rides the park had to offer. There wasn't a ride Connor wouldn't ride. He loved his first big roller coaster, the Ravine Flyer II, with his Dad. Maleah enjoyed every ride that she was restricted to due to her height. In a couple years, I don't think there will be a roller coaster out there that the kids won't ride. After we were done with the rides, we took them over to the waterpark and played for a couple hours. We ended our awesome day by eating at Cracker Barrel.

Connor's Ball Game

Connor really enjoyed his first year of Minor League Baseball. Tonight's game was the next to the last night of games, so I thought I'd get some final pictures since sitting on this side of the bleachers yields a better view for picture taking. Connor has really learned alot about the sport of baseball from his Dad and the assistant coaches on the Arby's team. Craig, his assistant coach, said Connor was the most improved player on the team. It's been awesome watching him improve with each passing game. Thanks goes out to all who came and watched him play. He was always excited to see who was coming to watch him. Here are a few pictures of him in action. The first picture is of Connor warming up with his team and coaches.

Bouncy house

When the kids are bored, this is one toy that we pull out. It doesn't last long until one kid ruins it and it gets taken down but while it's up, they play crazy in it. It's a great way for them to burn energy!!

End of 1st Grade

Today finished up the last day of 1st grade for Connor. Once again, he received an A- in Reading, an A in Math, and an A in Spelling. He received an N (Needs Improvement) with his Behavior this last grading period, which we are not happy to report. This N will keep him off the principal list and the honor roll but we are still very proud of the accomplishments he has achieved this grading period and for all of first grade. He is a very bright boy!
Mrs. Emings reports, "I really enjoyed having Connor in my class this year. I am very proud of his accomplishments. He has worked very hard. I am sure he will have great successes in second grade. Have a terrific summer!"
Connor weighed in this morning at 49.2 lbs, and 49 inches. During first grade, he missed 4 days due to illness and he lost 4 teeth. Connor enjoyed first grade and is looking forward to spending his summer with his family and spending time at the YMCA for Summer Fun while I'm at work.

I had to get a picture of him getting on the bus this morning.

Princess room

Finally, Maleah gets her bedroom painted in a princess theme. If only we could keep her room this clean all the time. Now we need to get her out of her toddler bed and into a big girl bed. Soon, very soon!
