Report Card
Once again, Connor did very well academically and recieved all A's on his report card. He made the Pricipals List for the first time. His teacher commented, "Connor takes a keen interest in his work and continues to do a wonderful job academically. Please encourage him to keep up the good work." We are very proud of Connor, he worked very hard this past nine weeks for all those A's.

Morrison Hiking Trail
We took the kids with us on a 9 mile hiking trail today in the Allegheny National Forest and we had a nice warm day, low - mid 70's, for hiking. Kids had a great time until the last few miles back to the car, we've come to expect that.

Along the way, we came across a nice water hole and the kids played along the edge for a little while.
Kids took a rest and I was able to capture the moment. I can't believe they were content to sit beside one another.
One this trail, we had to cross the steam several times. It wasn't any big deal and this section shouldn't have been any different. But leave it to Connor, he figured out a way to completely soak himself! When he stepped onto one of the angled rocks, he lost footing and went right into the water up to his shoulders! It completely drenched him. Immediately, we took all his clothes off and rung them out. After 10-15 minutes of air drying, he put them back on and away we went. Not once did we think of bringing an extra pair of clothes for the kids. Oh well, he was dry within the hour.

When we got to the end of the trail, we sat at the picnic tables near the reservoir and had our packed lunch. It was a nice view before heading back to the car.

One the way home, I realized the kids were being too quiet in the back seat. I looked around and saw this. They got about an hour of sleep during the car ride.
