5 years old....

Happy Birthday Big Guy!!! I can't believe you are 5 years old today. Even though we celebrated your birthday on Sunday, I still couldn't help stopping off to buy you another cake today. :)

Where did the 5 years go? It just seems like yesterday I cuddled you in my arms, today you will barely let me give you a birthday hug. You are growing up way too fast!

I love you sweety, have a great day!

Love you always,

Mom

DropShots

I wanted to let you all know that I'll be using my DropShots account a lot more. I just upgraded to the premium package and I have unlimited storage with my account now. Before, I was deleting older pictures to make room for new but now I can have as many as I want so I'll be going back through and adding really old pictures. Check it out sometime to see how the kids are growing.

Maleah's 1st haircut

Maleah had her first professional haircut today and she did wonderful! She sat in the chair so still for Jerri. It took her less than 5 minutes to cut her hair. Maleah just got the ends trimmed. This is the first of many haircuts to come.

5th birthday - Transformers

A couple weeks before Connor's birthday, I remember him telling me "I hope everyone buys my Transformer gifts" well big guy, you pretty much got your wish... LOL

I bought him Transformers bed sheets and comforter. I also got him Transformer pj's. Aunt Brenda got him the same bedsheets and a Transformer place mat. He got a Transformer action figure, the Snow Buddy DVD, a huge dart gun, money, gum and candy. I think I'm forgetting some things... sorry, I can't remember.

I had a small family get together for his birthday this year. Grandma Judy, Papa Bill, Grandma Donna, Papa Hilton, Aunt Brenda and Aunt Justine came for sandwiches and cake and ice cream.

This will probably be the last year for a low key family get together. Next year, I foresee a house full of 6 year old boys...

Thank You...

For some time now, Brian has reminded me every day... "Hey, did you know that we only have __ many days left before leaving for Cancun?" Yes honey, I'm very much aware. :-)

If you didn't know, this is the first time leaving Connor and Maleah behind while we have a week alone to recharge our batteries. Our family has been very accommodating for us to have this time together and I am soo thankful for them.

Arleen will be their constant caregiver, while Justine and Brenda are coming to stay on Friday and Saturday night. (I'm actually a little jealous that my sisters are going to have a slumber party at my house without me). Mom will be staying on Sunday night and Hilton will be taking Connor on his scheduled day off through the week. Donna also wants Arleen to know that she is free in the afternoon if she's needed. Brian just informed me that Shirley will gladly take Connor for the day, so I'm thinking that it will work best for him to go down to her house Friday. It's great that everyone is pitching in to make next week run smooth. I am so greatful for all of you and it's going to make my time away so much easier knowing that my kids are going to have a great time with all of you!

Thank you all once again! Let me see... only 78 hours until we are in the air heading to 80 degree weather... Ok, I'll stop rubbing it in. LOL

Update

I thought I'd update you on Maleah's potty training. Well for the most part, she has peeing in the potty down pat. She can hold her bladder for a few hours and hasn't had an accident since the weekend. She has been coming to me asking to go pee, so that is coming along really well. She is not doing so well when it comes to pooping. She and the princesses must have come to an agreement that she can poop on them whenever she wants. :( It gets a little frustrating when it takes her 3-4 poops to get it all out. She will not sit and push the rest out after her first accident. I hate to give up on this, but sometimes I really feel like I could!

Dang you Connor for being SO easy!!! LOL

Poor Diesel

It's been more than two weeks since Diesel was neutered and really it was a very smooth transition until a few nights ago. On Tuesday night I looked at the incision and saw it only had one suture remaining, and a pretty long one at that. I decided to trim the suture so he wasn't able to pull at it. I guess that was a bad idea. It made Diesel "aware" of the area and he's been messing with it ever since. I called the vet yesterday and we have an appointment today to get the area checked. It's red, inflammed and looks sore. It must be infected, Diesel feels like he is running a fever. I'm sure he'll be put on another round of antibiotics. Yeah Diesel, you get to eat bananas again! He is hating me now, he has that very fashionable head piece on him so he can't lick his incision.
