Bowling Party

This year, Connor wanted to have a birthday party at the bowling alley with his classmates so we invited the 10 boys in his class along with his sister. Only 4 of the boys showed up but really that was a perfect amount. Trying to keep track of 6 kids was a handful between Brian and I. We had a lot of fun though. We were going to have it yesterday on his actual birthday, but the bowling alley already had a party of 60 in the afternoon so today we had it from 2-4pm. These are the friends that enjoyed in on the fun today. Bryant, Maleah, Connor, Gabe, Levi, and Hunter. They were all a bunch of good kids!

We started off with bowling. The boys were all over the place inside our lane and the next lane over. Luckily there wasn't anyone bowling right beside us. It was like we had our own private little area. The boys were cute to watch. Maleah bowled over in the other lane with us and left the boys do their own thing.



After we played one game of bowling, we opened presents and then ate pizza and had some cake.



When one boy starts becoming crazy..they all do... LOL!!



After pizza and cake was cleaned up, we went over to the arcade and played games until the parents arrived. It was a fun day, the kids had a great time but Mom and Dad were wore out!! To be 7 again, without a care in the world!

Connor turns 7

Today was Connor's 7th birthday. We had a birthday party for him this evening and all 3 sets of Grandparents, my 3 sisters, Uncle Jason, Steve, Jenelle and her boyfriend Dylan were here to celebrate Connor's birthday. Connor loves Sponge Bob, so this year that's what kind of cake we had from Mike's bakery. Here are some pictures of his day. This year it was all about the money. He did get a few gifts, but he received mostly money which he was very excited about. In addition to his birthday, all eyes were glued to the TV as Hawaii was to be struck with a tsunami caused by the earthquake that hit Chile today. The earthquake registered 8.8 and tsunami did not produced waves higher than 3 feet in Hawaii.

Saturday Afternoon

With best intentions, we took the kids up to Clear Creek State Park to sled ride. We walked at least a 1/2 mile to the sled riding hill because the road into Clear Creek was gated. When we got there, the snow was too deep to walk in. We had a couple rides down the pipe line hill, but really not worth all the energy we were burning. We decided to walk further down the road toward the river. On the way, Connor knocked off icicles on the cabins and we saw about 15 turkey. We had about a 3 mile hike after all the walking. It was such a beautiful day, we didn't want to waste it sitting in the house. We are so ready for spring...

This happened right after getting out of bed this morning. He was so excited to have it out, he wanted a picture right away. This is the 2nd one that came out this month.

Snow Storm '10

Jan/Feb 2010 has been a very snowy season. As of this date, we have around 20 inches on the ground. It just keeps coming and we have at least another 8 weeks of this stuff. The kids and Diesel went out and played in the snow while Brian pushed even more snow off the driveway. The kids love playing on top on the piles Brian creates with the tractor. I hope this is one of the last storms that we have to contend with this season, but I highly doubt it. Look how heavy the trees are behind the kids.


Of course, I have to get pictures of my other baby, Diesel. He patiently waits as Brian plows the snow down around the road. I think this picture of Diesel's frozen whiskers is priceless. It's dang cold and this picture captures it.

Maleah's glasses

Our little girl is now wearing glasses. The eye doctor says she has eyes identical to mine. If so, maybe by the time she's a teenager, she'll no longer need them. She's doing fairly well with them but occasionally wants to take them off to wrestle. We tell her not to take them off unless she is showering, swimming, or sleeping. She's been asking me to wash them alot, now I know what my Mom went through.

Behavior Chart

This is Connor's behavior chart progress over the school year. He tells me every morning that he is going to have a Green Day, and that's what I hope for. There is a money incentive for a full green month. He was so close in January. Here's to hoping he brings home a full month of green in February.
