Progress

As a lot of you know, Maleah has had a huge interest in the potty since September. She will take all her clothes off, just to sit on the toilet and "do nothing". This has been frustrating for me, but patience I keep telling myself.

We finally had a break through today. I noticed that she was still dry after her nap so I asked if she wanted to try to pee and wouldn't you know, she peed in the potty for a very long time.

Everyone in the house cheered and made a big deal about it. I hope she continues to make great progress. Could she be as easy to train as Connor?? Nahhh, but one can wish.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope everyone had as good of a Christmas at your house as what we did at ours.

Our day started at 5:00 this morning, ugh!! but Connor was so excited to get it started. It could have been worse, he was up at 3:00 to go to the bathroom. He came in our room to tell us that the christmas lights were lit on the tree. We told him that was OK, they were only on because we wanted Santa to know where the tree was. Luckily, he didn't round the corner or he would have seen that Santa already made it to our house. He went back to bed and left us sleep a couple more hours.

Both of the kids made out really well from Santa. We were a little surprised that Santa didn't leave any coal for Connor. We kept telling him that Santa would knowing that Santa had to make a phone call to our house earlier in the week letting Connor know that he was watching.

Winter Wonderland

We woke this morning to 8 -10 inches of snow and our drifts around the house buried Diesel. It was an amazing sight seeing the heavy snow on the back road between Maleah and Connor's daycare. I was the first set of tracks back through here this morning. I forgot my camera this morning so I was very happy when the sight was still the same while coming home. When I got home, I grabbed my camera and captured these views before it was too late. I love traveling on back roads after a heavy snow like this.


This is a side road off of the back road that I travel on. It has no winter maintenance. This is what my road looked like this morning. My vehicle did very well with new tires and 4 x 4.

Daycare report

This note was included with Connor's papers at daycare today. I am so proud that he is doing so well at his new daycare. He's really advanced in the few short months that he's been there.

I want to bring Miss Tara home with me to see this boys "other side". LOL He's been sent to his room 3 different times for what I consider bad behavior.

Gingerbread Christmas Tree

This year I tried to find a Gingerbread House but the only thing available was a Gingerbread Tree. The kids had fun putting it together and a funny sight it was when it was done.

Long Day...

Happy Birthday Papa Hilton!! We hope you enjoyed your day!! Did you make it down to Penn Brewery for your birthday? If you did, I hope the roads were not too terrible. The were becomming bad when we left Pittsburgh.

As for today, Connor, Brain, Justine, Mom and myself had a great day visiting the Carnegie Museum of Natural History! We took Connor to see the Dinosaur exhibit, which we have been waiting to see for the last 6 months. We plan to take Connor back in the spring of '08 when T Rex returns. Following our visit to the museum, we found some good deals at Khol's and enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner at Red Lobster.




Thank you Aunt Brenda for taking care of Maleah while we spent the day doing fun things with Connor. I know you and Maleah had a great day making cookies, and playing together! Thank you for their early Christmas presents. I'm sure Maleah will be carrying her baby doll around for days!



We were happy to find that Diesel made no messes in the house while we were gone. That was almost 12 hours, I'm going to say we can call him house trained now. :)

Another Birthday

We got almost all of the Christmas shopping done in Pittsburgh today. Connor made out really well. As for Maleah, I'm having a harder time with her. All the toys have been bought for Connor at her age, so the picking for her are a little slim. I guess I can't go wrong with baby dolls. She's quite the little mommy now a days.

Birthday Kickoff

December is the month for Connor and Maleah's Grandparents' birthday. Papa Bill kicks it off today! Have a great day Papa!!

Excitement

Connor is so excited for Christmas, and he has us just as excited. For the first time in years, we are decorated inside and out and it's only the first of December. He enjoyed decorating the Christmas tree this year more than I expected. I must make known, Maleah is enjoying undecorating the tree.
