Maleah's speech therapist was here this evening and evaluated Maleah's speech by using the Receptive and Expressive One Word. Both scores show Age expressive of 1 yr 7 months. This indicates that receptive and expressive vocabulary is behind by about 8 months.
We all know that she is starting to come alive with her speech, it's just a matter of time before she drives her mother nuts with her jabbering. Some day I'll wonder what the fuss was all about. :) Until then, I'll try not to worry myself too much and enjoy the "silence".
